Oh no, not another Central Asian tribe!   OMG It's the TURKS!!!!  Mass murder ensues, millions are put to the sword as Central Asia, Persia, and then finally Asia Minor come under Turkish control!  Hat trick for the Turks!   Turks become the new leaders of the Islamic Caliphate in the East, the Arabs in decline!   Turkey promotes some tolerance leading to a reduction in demand for liberation from Christian in Middle East.

The Mythical Great Bantu invasion of Central and Southern Africa occurs, attested to only by Linguistic mapping and some vague legends-  it didn't even happen.   That's how sneaky the Africans want to be.  Lo!   Bantus become great world power in the future.  Yes you know they are naturally stealthy those Africans!   Bantus ahead in the Series against other African Tribes- 4-1  -  Ethiopia still stands!

Europe under pressure from Muslims and Turks

The Arabs in Spain and the Turks in the Balkans maintain their pressure.  Christians are changing now, it's kind of a mutation, the Renaissance is bringing back the light of the Old World to Europe, people are rising up in education and arts...  The Spainish finally kick the Muslims out, the Poles help the Austrians and now the Balkans are being reconquered, brave Venice and Genoa are capturing the Islands of the Eastern Mediterrenean!

Europeans tie the series up 2-2.

Portuguese sail down the African Coast!  Chinese sail into the Indian ocean!  A new day of trade and commerce is dawning - the Global Economy is born!  1400-1600 is upon us , the Age of Discovery in Europe!   America is found and the great Kingdoms of the Aztecs, Mayas and Incas fall to the Spanish!  Hat trick for Spain!

Turks invade India!  Capture Dehli!  India falling to the Muslims - Turks ahead 3-2 in the series- Raj calls in European backup, trade and commerce, cannons and soldiers pour in from Spain and Portugal first, now France!  France conquers up to the Rhineland, makes huge treaties with India, in the Americas it's New France founded mostly as a peace treaty with the First Nations.   Hat trick for France!

It's a new sort of diplomatic style of hat trick -this could be good for all those weeping fathers and mothers.

Britain on the Rise, Ireland and Scotland integrated into the Crown, territories in the Caribbean and Africa, the Dutch sail to India, capture Ceylon and the Cape Territory in Africa, Dutch a powerhouse for such a tiny country!   Netherlands get's special mention!  Britain on the rise, now rivalling France with it's German Allies...

The rest of the world goes into the Dark Ages while Europe forges ahead!

Europe leading the series, 3-2...  GOAL!!!!!

Now Christian led by a cabal of Philosophers and probably rich with Polytheism, Europe ascends to a new level of human existence.  The courts are opened as never before, law and medicine begin their progress towards modernity, the power of the Church begins to recede just as an explosion of new religious thought takes place.   The great poets and play writes and novelists appear - science explodes - Europe awash in Great People, sons of Gods and Devils all!

13 colonies, Britain buys up land from the Dutch and wins treaty rights in India- begins to displace the French and Spanish from India.  More treaties with Africans - slaves start coming to the New World in droves.  Brazil begins to grow, the Spanish Empire in the Americas becomes the richest part of the world.   Spain's court is rivalled by none and yet all Europeans strive to match the Spanish court in their excellence.

Japan begins to solidify after a long period of civil war.   Proud of their heritage as warriors who've resisted the Chinese and the Mongols, believing they have Divine Favor the Japanese will play a pivotal role in world history in a couple of centuries.

The French grow rich off the trade in Rum, Tabacoo and Furs, the British too gain wealth from their overseas Empire- now Spain is slowing down, it has internal economic troubles, goes into debt - the Rise o the German Banking Princes.   the Protestant civil wars end, religious freedom in most of Northern Europe is beginning to be a dream.  Catholic societies accused of being repressive.  Turkey begins it's long slide into decadence and ruin, France conveniently make a treaty with Turkey so She can visit Turkey while He's being decadent.

Beginnings of the cease fire with Islam well underway  -  Islam is no longer as deranged and militant as it used to be.   The Indians with their collection of European partners have stabilized their military and political situation in the Sub Continent, soon the Europeans and Hindus will march on the Muslim with the British playing Emperor, - smart move by the Hindus - back up plan - blame the British!

Lol they blame the British!  GOAL!!! Lol.  India ties the series with the Muslims up 3-3 - will they remember Mr Smith?

Now the Europeans are really something, they seem to still remember a bit what life is like with a free press and democracy, and how it is better to value at least the middle class rather than just oppressing the shit out of everyone.   Something is going on in Europe - all this science, law theory, philosophy, history - Athens and Rome are praised, Democracy and Republic are mentioned in the Kingdoms, causing a strange shudder to be felt in the beams which held the palace walls.  In Scandinavia the old theygns are going on, there are lots of local councils - the independence of a number of small city states and provinces has led to the recognition that smaller bodies are more effective in governing themselves, the success of places like Burgundy and Venice and Prussia leads to the idea of the renovation of politics, while a military junta briefly overthrows the British Monarchy.

Oh no - oh no - not this - oh not - not revolution....  It explodes, first in the 13 colonies, but very quickly it spreads over the whole Americas and then France becomes the figurehead of the revolution in Europe.  Promising an even more interesting and prosperous society, the vote is extended to all adult men with property, slaves are freed, first as a gesture by the more left wing of the French Revolution, which leads to a sudden reversal when the right wing is victorious.  Haiti becomes the first modern Black Republic, the First country to free all slaves by most counts.

GOAL GOAL - FRENCH REVOLUTION AND HAITIAN REPUBLIC - GOAL GOAL GOAL!

Republic and Parliament are like new words, made new and large by these sudden changes.  France goes on a string of victories in a kind of First World War, fighting the British as their arch opponents on the open seas and all around the world.  France nearly takes the whole of Europe, but is exhausted and beaten back by the Russians all the way to Paris.   France is down but not out.   The revolution in the Americas goes off, altough many of the new Spanish Speaking Countries will struggle with dictators called caudillos - strong men.

The birth of the modern era - the beginnings of the talk of world peace and human brotherhood as a political reality, not just a temple dream.  

It's suddenly dawned on people, at least in Europe, that all this talk of world peace and human brotherhood might not even be a bad idea at all.   For one thing, they realize it might even make them happier and yet still more prosperous.  For another the wars were getting to be a pain.  People were tired of religious fundamentalism, political infighting and war-mongering.  They began to envisage an international organization to keep the peace among nations.

The Congress of Vienna, the Red Cross, Franchise in the UK, the second French Republic, the Carlist question in Spain, Russia slow to reform, Germany rising, - European World Leadership.

Europe seems to speak for the soul of man - he wants to be pious, but he can't decide if his religion is quite right.  He has chosen to be free from serfdom and wants to end slavery.  He's got a pretty good hangover now that he's formed a large middle class and has imported tea and coffee.   This leads to still more innovation.  Between cigarettes, coffee and tea, and the improvement in the quality of alcohol, Europeans have the better buzz of the people.  They are not as sad as the Muslims who don't have a drink and have such a "benighted" view of things.  India buzzes too, though it's status as a part of a European Empire begins to irk it's leaders and possibly it's common people.  India has gained from European allaince though, Indians are soon setting up businesses in Africa and the Caribbean, Indians are the first to get European education outside of Europe.  [Apart from the still known as Indians]

Europe grows to it's greatest extent.  Under the guise of promoting free trade and freedom of religion, while fighting the slave trade and competing with the Persians and Omanis [by the way Oman scored quite big Empire for a short time, it could happen again!]  Europe quickly becomes the Mater Patria of Africa.  Europe has a field day, getting treaties and toppling it's rivals, quickly overwhelming the whole continent in a new system of religion and education, trade and specialization, segregation and control.    Certain African leaders collect quite a sum from their dealings with Europeans - they aspire to live like the European Princes they see in paintings and photos, or when they make a rare trip to Europe.  Africans import European clothes - in China European imports are so cheap the Chinese economy sort of goes into a nosedive.  Kind of like what is happening to the US now.

The Europeans are getting high!  Drugs are not illegal in Europe, people can get as high as they want for a while - Europe starts to go insane from too many cigars - something weird is happening.

In the rest of the world, there is finally anxiety about the European situation.  European were pretty fair and the were not different in their behavior from the other races to any truly noticeable extent.  Conquest and Empire, the pursuit of honor and riches - there was nothing unusual about it.

The Europeans seemed to be interesting when you studied them - they were honorable and intelligent, they were pious and emotional, they had really live characters in their books and they had really complex and realistic stories.  They had a lot of idea about God you know the One Father One Son, One Being with the Holy Spirit, they had a lot of ideas about business - you know you buy this and I'll take that, or I'll buy that and you take this -  they even seemed to be idealistic, in a way perhaps that was endearing to people.  They had this vague vision of a future dawning, one where there would be peace and religion would be balanced by philosophy.  They wanted the people to have a say, but they weren't like saying everyone should have a say, just the people who had competence.

YES IN THOSE TIMES YOU HAD TO PROVE COMPETENCE BY HOLDING PROPERTY - GOAL!!!! NOW CENTURIES LATER COMPETENCE CAN BE PROVEN BY EDUCATION!!! GoaL!!!!!

There was a strange long peace, which was really peace in Europe with lots of crazy wars.  The Wild West fell to US colonization, Argentina fought wars on the Pampas.  China had a new huge civil war, the second in a while - China was fighting to get it's rights as well, in this period called the Enlightenment and Early Modern Era.   Japan had good leadership that strove to catch up to Europe.

Africans had a good deal going in a lot of ways, they got the modern technologies, they had an end to their slavery civil wars, they got a lot of business with rest of the world to make up for the slavery, but Africans would prove to be disssattisfied with the arrangement on the grounds it was too profitable to Europe and it's Indian allies, and also that their Indian and European allies - were sort of racist, although it was thought better not to talk about that too much.

China's problems were enormous. It was ruled by an unpopular ethnic minority from the North, somewhat related to the Mongols.  They were a warrior tribe but they were acting as a racial aristocracy.  China chaffed under their rule, there were many secret societies formed as they had been in the past, to fight for the freedom and well being of the Chinese people.   Some of these wanted to overthrow the government, and mainly they were religous.  The Tai-Ping rebellion was led by Manicheans, a group originally from Persia which had it's last major following in China [the Chinese of all the Nations have had multi religious policy the longest - it was long a Kingdom with an Ideal of Heavenly Peace and a Pragmatic Approach to Human Life... The Chinese ideals did not match with the Qin Dynasty and their perceived faults.  The Tai-Ping would be the end of the Manicheans in some way - a very long and bloody war similar in it's scale to the Wars of Napoleon, spiritually the Tai-Ping revolt was rocking the leaders of the world.

Now we are getting to close to modern history to have a an easy historical narrative.  The picture becomes dark and complex, there are many arguements and debate still.   There are plently of those who don't know even history, knowledge is a struggle to find what is accurate, and sometimes - what is useful.
